Biography
Shawn Sando is FCC Behavioral Health's Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Since 1993, Shawn has demonstrated leadership, strategic vision, and advocacy in various roles with FCC Behavioral Health. In addition to his active role as CEO, Shawn also holds the following additional professional positions:  Board Chair of the Missouri Coalition for Community Behavioral Healthcare; Board Member of CommCare – a Missouri managed care organization; and an appointed Member of the Missouri Eating Disorders Council.

Shawn’s prior leadership positions with FCC include Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). During his career, Shawn has served on numerous state-wide workgroups, committees, and councils. Most recently he has served on the Certified Community Behavioral Health Center Crisis Workgroup, Missouri Coalition for Community Behavioral Health Executive Committee, and the Missouri Mental Health Crisis Prevention Workgroup. Shawn is an active member with several professional associations such as:  National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare; National Association of Social Workers; and the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors.

Shawn earned his Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at the University of Missouri - Columbia. He also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from William Woods University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Arkansas State University. Shawn is a qualified mental health professional (QMHP) and a qualified addiction professional (QAP) and holds the medication-assisted recovery specialist (MARS) certificate from the Missouri Credentialing Board.

Shawn maintains his leadership and clinical competencies thru active participation in a variety of regional, state and national seminars and conferences related to issues facing behavioral healthcare.
